#1 Something Wicca This Way Comes: Aired Wednesday, October 7, 1998

Prue and Piper are living in their grandmother's house after her death, and Phoebe joins them after leaving New York destitute. Prue quits her job at the museum after her ex-fiance steals her project, and Piper gets a job at a restaurant. Led by their childhood spirit board, Phoebe finds the Book of Shadows in the attic and reads the incantation that brings the three sisters their powers. Prue becomes reacquainted with her old childhood love, Andy. Just as they are learning that they are the Charmed Ones, they have to fight a warlock who has been killing witches all over San Francisco and stealing their powers... and the warlock turns out to be Piper's boyfriend Jeremy. The three sisters get a cat from one of the murdered witches.

As Andy and Darryl try to figure out why so many young women have been going missing in the neighborhood of Piper's restaurant, Piper struggles with restaurant management and the fear that she might be an evil witch. At Piper's restaurant, Phoebe meets a handsome and famous photographer, and is flattered when he asks if she would pose for him. Phoebe soon finds out that the photographer actually needs young and beautiful subjects so that he can suck the youth out of them and stay young himself. Luckily, Phoebe's sisters rescue her and they vanquish the photographer with some help from a spell from the Book of Shadows. After spending the night with Andy, Prue runs out on him in the morning. Andy pursues her and finally they agree to take things slowly. Prue gets a job at a local auction house. Her boss, Rex, and his cohort, Hannah, are aware that Prue is a witch, but don't tell her that they know.

While Phoebe and Piper try out a love spell they find in the Book of Shadows, Prue decides to give a serious relationship with Andy a chance, but she attracts the unwanted attention of a wheelchair-bound man who experiments with "dream walking." Whenever this man is rejected, which he is often due to his aggressive come-ons, he enters the woman's dreams later that night and kills her in her dreams, which kills her in real life. Andy and Darryl investigate the strange string of murders while a sleep-deprived Prue struggles to stay awake and get her sisters to believe that she's actually being attacked in her dreams. Finally, Prue falls asleep while driving and gets into an accident that lands her in the hospital unconscious. Her sisters are there by her side, lending their support as she battles in her dreams. In the meantime, Andy tracks down the dream culprit, and tries to have him woken up so that he can interrogate him. Prue manages to use her power in her dream so that the dream sorcerer dies instead of her, and Andy watches as the man dies in his sleep. Piper and Phoebe have to reverse their love spell after they gain unwanted attention from too many men, and realize that the men that they do like only like them back because of magic.

A mother made a promise to give her son in marriage to Hecate if Hecate would grant her money and power. Now Hecate is back to claim her husband, because only in a sanctified marriage can she conceive and give birth to a full demon child. The son is being forced into the marriage under a spell, and his beloved original fiance has been banished. Piper is catering the wedding with help from Prue. A priest tries to vanquish the demon, but fails. When he falls out a second story window, Andy takes the sword he was carrying to Prue to find out where it's from. Phoebe thinks Piper might be pregnant with a demon child because of a premonition. Finally the three sisters compare notes, realize what is going on, and stop the wedding just in time.

Piper starts a romance with the handyman, Leo. Prue's boss, Rex, and her co-worker, Hannah, turn out to be demons. Rex uses mind control and astral projection to frame Prue for grand larceny, while also starting a fledgling romance with Phoebe. Once Prue is in jail, Rex blackmails the sisters into giving up their powers to him. Luckily, Leo secretly comes to the rescue and restores the sisters' powers just in time for them to vanquish Rex and Hannah. At the same time, Andy realizes that Prue has been framed and proves her innocence. Piper bids a sad farwell to Leo who has finished fixing up the house and has to leave town for awhile.

#11 Feats of Clay: Aired Wednesday, January 20, 1999

Phoebe's ex-boyfriend from New York, Clay, comes to town with a mysterious Egyptian urn and asks if Prue could sell it for him on the auction block. Prue has to deal with a new boss from the bank that took over the auction house, a woman named Claire who admittedly knows nothing about the auction business, but says that if Prue doesn't have a successful auction in one day, the bank will close the business. Phoebe convinces Prue to try to sell Clay's urn, but Prue soon finds out that it's not only stolen, it's cursed. With Clay's two partners in crime already dead, the Charmed Ones try to save the hapless thief, but it's only through his own act of selflessness, trying to save Phoebe, that Clay saves himself. Piper tries to use to magic to help a clumsy guy at work get back together with his girlfriend, but it's Prue ingenuity that actually seals the deal.

#12 The Wendigo: Aired Wednesday, February 3, 1999

Prue gets Phoebe a job at Buckman's and Phoebe gets a vision of the past when she touches a gold bracelet. The sisters conspire to keep the bracelet from being bought at auction, and Phoebe uses it to reunite a mother with her daughter who was kidnapped years before. When Piper's car breaks down, she is attacked by a vicious werewolf-like beast that they later find out is called a Wendigo. The Wendigo is created when someone's heart is broken, and it goes about eating other's people's hearts. Piper is saved by a man, Billy, whose fiance was killed by a Wendigo, and later meets the FBI agent, Ashley Fallon, that has been tracking the beast. Agent Fallon kills Billy when he figures out that she's the Wendigo, and Piper starts to turn into a Wendigo from the scratch she received during the attack. Prue and Phoebe lock up Piper and go to kill the Wendigo before she attacks Andy. Piper gets free and goes to attack her sisters, but they kill the Wendigo just in time, saving both Piper and Andy. Prue tells Andy the truth about what happened. Phoebe quits her job.

Phoebe and Piper wonder why Prue never says the words, "I love you." Barbas, the demon of fear, spends Friday the 13th scaring witches literally to death. As usual, Andy and Darryl wonder why Prue seems connected to a string of murders. Barbas tries to drown Prue in the shower, since Prue's greatest fear, since her mother drowned, is drowning herself. Prue is narrowly saved by Andy. Barbas realizes that Phoebe's greatest fear is losing a sister, so he tries to drown Prue again with Phoebe watching. This time, Prue feels the presence of her mother and manages to release her fear and vanquish Barbas. Prue tells her sisters that she loves them, and admits that the last time she said that was to her mother. Piper suffers from superstition on Friday the 13th, worrying about starting a relationship with a fabulous guy and then screwing up that relationship because he doesn't like superstitious women. Phoebe gets a job working for a woman in real estate, but quits when she has to lie to the woman's husband about an affair.

While the sisters are spring cleaning, Prue mentions that she doesn't want to have kids because she doesn't want to bring them into this demon-fighting world. Piper deals with an egotistical new chef at Quake. Leo comes back to town and has a happy reunion with Piper, but Phoebe finds out that Leo is actually a Whitelighter, like a guardian angel for witches, and he actually has to break off his relationship with Piper because he's not supposed to get involved. Leo finally works up the nerve to tell Piper that he lives too far away for them to be together, and Piper handles the news surprisingly well. Phoebe lets the secret slip, later, but it sounds so fantastical that her sisters think she's making it up. Prue helps a young male witch when he is kidnapped and forced to use his powers for evil by people who threaten to hurt his father. After helping this child witch deal with his own powers, Prue realizes she might be a good mother after all.
