Paige is bored as a stay-at-home aunt, while Phoebe is frustrated with how much time her job is taking up. Neither Piper nor Leo are dealing well with the death of their adult son, Chris. Piper is scared to even take her children outside for fear of what could happen to them, while Leo is completely obsessed with hunting down and vanquishing Barbas. On the strange advice of a demonic disembodied head, Barbas goes after baby Chris just to mess with Leo. Phoebe and Paige convince Piper and Leo to go to a friend's Hindu wedding to get out and relax, but Piper and Leo end up being possessed by Hindu gods. Piper becomes Shakti, the mother goddess with six arms, and Leo becomes Shiva, the great destroyer. Phoebe and Paige are pleased to see that this possession makes Leo and Piper, who are still aware who they are, enormously attracted to one another, but after reading the Book of Shadows the two sisters realize that they have to keep this godly couple apart, because their love could destroy the world. They send Leo, with his "great destroyer" powers, after Barbas again, despite the fact that the Elders are worried that Leo is a danger to himself and others. The Elders' fears are founded when Barbas tricks Leo into killing another Elder, Zola. Paige breaks the spell on Piper and Leo, excising the gods, and Piper comforts a distraught Leo while Paige and Phoebe take care of Barbas once and for all. Inspector Sheridan, now with an unwilling Darryl as her partner, continues to persecute the Charmed Ones trying to figure out what's going on and what happened to adult Chris. Phoebe decides to take a sabbatical from work, and her ghost-writer replacement turns out to be a suprisingly attractive man named Leslie. The demonic disembodied head speaks to Leo. Paige finds out that the magic school is being shut down now that Gideon is dead, and decides that she should be the one to save it.
Phoebe is worried about her column in the hands of Leslie, and also pissed off when Piper is asked to leave an outdoor cafe for breast-feeding Chris. She tries to convince Leslie to answer her advice request about breast-feeding in public, and Leslie asks her to please stop hovering over his shoulder. Piper is worried about Leo and his obsession with vanquishing every demon he can find, and tries to convince her ex-husband to spend more time with his sons. While Paige is trying to convince the Elders not to close down the magic school, a bored student accidentally conjures up Lady Godiva on her horse and a demon that feeds on repression. Paige tries to figure out how to get Lady Godiva back to her own time so that she can finish her ride, while the demon takes away everyone's repression, starting violent fights all over the place. The Charmed Ones manage to send both Godiva and the demon back in time, but the demon kills Godiva, basically deleting the history of women's liberation. The Charmed Ones re-conjure up Godiva and the demon, but the demon feeds off of Piper's repression and she lets loose on how frustrated she is with Leo. Finally, the Charmed Ones tell Leo to let the demon feed off him, and Leo's enormous amount of repression overloads the demon and he dies. Also, Leo is able to get his frustration out, explaining how he is jealous of demons and their ability to kill without guilt. After Godiva is sent back to her own time to complete her famous ride, Phoebe takes a page out her book and rides naked on a horse to make her point about breast-feeding. Leslie decides to answer her letter. The floating green head continues to haunt Leo. The Elders agree to keep the magic school open, and tell Paige that she can run it.
Against Piper's wishes, Paige plans a wiccanning for Chris, inviting both Grams and Victor to attend. A new demon, who wears a blue mask, is after Wyatt. Meanwhile, Wyatt has been torturing Chris, constantly stealing (orbing) things from his little brother, and even orbing the baby away once. Grams casts a spell to remove the sibling rivalry from the two boys, but the side effect is that the Charmed Ones have teenage personalities again. Phoebe, who has a crush on Leslie, shows up an at award ceremony for her column that she originally told Leslie she wasn't going to attend. She makes a fool of herself accepting the award, and is saved by Leslie. Paige kisses a cute student at the magic school who is 21 years old. Leo consults a Seer who shows him that the demon that is after Wyatt looks just like Leo. Sure enough, the demon attacks Wyatt even at the magic school, and is revealed to have Leo's face. Grams worries that Leo is evil and is attacking Wyatt, and doesn't want to reverse the sibling rivalry spell so as to save adult Piper from having to deal with this possibility. Victor thinks this is a bad idea and insists that they call in Patty to help make this decision. Patty agrees with Victor, so Grams takes off in a huff and Patty casts the spell that brings the Charmed Ones back to their normal selves. With help from their parents, the Charmed Ones realize that this demon is just a figment of Wyatt's imagination, and he is punishing himself for causing his parents' separation. When they finally assure Wyatt that he's not at fault for anything, the demon disappears. Grams returns and Chris has his wiccanning. Phoebe apologizes to Leslie for acting silly at the awards ceremony, and he hopes that she's interested in him romantically.
Inspector Sheridan is doggedly staking out the Charmed Ones, with a reluctant Darryl at her side. When her investigation turns up nothing, she turns to the Feds for help, and gets more help than she expected in the form of Agent Brody, a mysterious FBI agent who knows that the sisters are witches. Piper tries to get Leo back into Elder/Whitelighter mode, and Leo is told by the other Elders that a bunch of witches have gone missing from San Francisco lately. The Charmed Ones discover that a cursed pirate, Captain Black Jack Cutting, is kidnapping and prematurely aging witches, just as he was cursed and aged by a witch hundreds of years ago. When Paige starts aging rapidly, the Charmed Ones steal a goblet from a museum to activate the fountain of youth, reversing the curse on Captain Cutting. However, when the Captain breaks his word to the Charmed Ones and shows himself to have no honor, his crew turns on him, and they all turn to ancient dust. Piper and Phoebe are prevented from saving Paige by Inspector Sheridan, who is confused but excited when she finally busts them doing something magical. Sheridan is knocked out by Agent Brody, and Brody lets the sisters go, saying that they owe him. Leslie manipulates a newspaper contest to win a date with Phoebe, but she ends up standing him up because of magical issues. They argue over how neither of them can admit they're attracted to each other, and end up in a passionate embrace. An Elder tells Piper not to give up on Leo, because they will need him before the gathering storm. Leo is still haunted by the floating face that vocalizes his worst fears, but following Piper's advice he tries to ignore it.
A half demon, Sirk, is trying to kill off all of his blood relatives so that he can become fully demon. Paige casts a protection spell to protect Sirk's cousin, Arthur, but the spell has a side effect that no one, anywhere, can die. The Angel of Death gets frustrated and works with Sirk to break the spell. Arthur dies, and the Angel of Death "kills" Piper to help him with the back-log of souls he now has to collect. Sirk goes after Arthur's wife, Harriet, to get at her unborn child, and after the Charmed Ones rescue her, Piper is horrified to see that Phoebe's name has gone to the top of her souls-to-be-collected list. With help from The Seer, Sirk also sees Phoebe's future death, and decides to mess with The Charmed Ones by going after Paige instead. Paige dies from Sirk's attack, and while Phoebe is mourning her sister and Piper is guiding Paige's soul to the afterlife, Sirk goes after Harriet again. Phoebe gets her first premonition since her powers were taken away, and she and Leo arrive just in time to save Harriet. Phoebe trades Sirk's unexpected soul for Paige's, and the Angel of Death lets Piper come back to life. Brody, in the morgue, witnesses Piper's awakening, and says that this once again proves to him that magic really does exist. Brody tells Piper that he'll tell everyone she was working undercover for him and had to fake her own death for a case, but that in exchange, he'll need her help with something in the future. Darryl is even more freaked out now that Inspector Sheridan has suddenly been transferred far away, and Brody is pumping him for information about the sisters. Phoebe is nervous about talking to Leslie, but they finally agree that they like each other, they're both scared, and they'll just see where the relationship takes them.
It's not only a rare blue moon, but the Charmed Ones all have wicked PMS. They find that they're losing control of their powers, and at night, when the moon rises, they turn into vicious beasts and attack Whitelighters. At first, Leo is under suspicion for the attacks, but it soon becomes clear that he has nothing to do with it. In the meantime, the green floaty head demons step up their plan to mess with Leo when Piper asks him to move back home. To drive Leo away from his family, they send a demon to possess him. The plan almost works, but the Charmed Ones figure out what's going on. In the meantime, Paige investigates Agent Brody. He proves to her that he's not a demon, and warns her that there is a new evil that is trying to get power to rule again like they used to. He says that he's been tracking this evil, because it killed his parents when he was five. Phoebe and Leslie realizes there is no future for them when he moves away, so they bid a fond farewell.
Agent Kyle Brody discovers that people's guardian angels are being stolen, and he approaches Paige and Phoebe to help him stop it. Phoebe gets caught up in helping Piper help Leo, so Paige helps Kyle on her own, but only succeeds in getting her own guardian angel stolen. The demon who has been stealing the angels, Sarpedon, is doing so so that when the new power arrives, he can fight it, and once he gets a taste of a Charmed One's guardian angel, he wants the other two. Phoebe and Piper send Leo on a vision quest to help get him more emotionally centered. Chris leads him in his vision, and reminds him of all the good he has done in his life. At the end of the vision, a green-head guy takes over and shows Leo that no matter how much he fights, good and evil will always balance themselves out, and in the end there will be nothing. While Leo is stuck in his vision, Kyle is kidnapped by Sarpedon, and Paige goes to rescue him even though she knows it's a trap. Phoebe and Piper decide to help Paige, but Sarpedon attacks them for their guardian angels, and kills them. Piper manages to blow up Sarpedon before dying. Leo is released from his vision and finds the two dead sisters. The green-head guy, who we now know is Avatar Alpha, convinces Leo to join the Avatars and their quest for a neutral world, in exchange for the power to heal the dead sisters. Leo agrees, and Paige and Kyle arrive in time to see Leo healing in a most unusual fashion. Leo doesn't tell the sisters about the Avatars, and he seems much more at peace, so Piper is happy. Paige gets her guardian angel back.
After a mysterious murder at the Magic School, Paige asks for Kyle's help in solving it. They both get sucked into a half-written magical book that is a rip-off of the Maltese Falcon. One of the authors, Eddie, wrote the book with his brother, who was killed by a gangster for the location of the Falcon. With help from Phoebe, who is reading the book as it happens and writing in things to help Paige, Paige and Kyle reveal to Eddie who killed his brother, and give him the courage to destroy the Falcon and release them all from the book. Paige and Kyle share their first kiss. Leo is ready to romance Piper, but Piper is having trouble letting her guard down with Leo's sudden turn-around. The Avatars want Leo to bring the Charmed Ones into the fold, but Leo says their ideal isn't worth anything if he doesn't have Piper back.
Paige goes out on a breakfast date with Kyle, but ends up ditching him because he can't stop obsessing about Avatars. Darryl worries about how Kyle made Sheridan disappear, and agrees to work with the Charmed Ones a little bit again. Piper knows Leo is hiding something from her about his miraculous recovery. A frustrated Leo decides to tell Piper that he's an Avatar, even though Alpha and Beta warn him that she's not ready to know. Piper freaks out, but eventually accepts him. Phoebe and Paige aren't sure that Leo is right about the Avatars wanting to end the fight between good and evil, and they tell Kyle that Leo is an Avatar. Because of the whole Avatar distraction, the Charmed Ones are tricked by a demon and lose an Innocent. Kyle gets a potion that he's been saving and goes after Leo. In the ensuing fight, Leo kills Kyle and Kyle infects Leo with the potion that is poisonous to Avatars. Alpha and Beta tell Leo to use his power to turn back time, and Leo does so, reliving the day and choosing not to tell Piper his secret. The Innocent is saved this time around, and Paige gives Kyle another chance after their disastrous breakfast date and they have a romantic dinner where Kyle manages to not talk about Avatars the whole time. Leo just tells Piper that he has a secret that he can't tell her, but she'll learn it when the time is right and it will be okay.
The Avatars tell Leo that he needs to save a woman who is about to be killed, and could be instrumental in convincing the Charmed Ones that the Avatars are not to be feared. Leo saves this woman, and then realizes that she is the Seer. The Seer has seen the demonless future that the Avatars are planning, and wants to flip on all her demon friends in exchange for the Elders making her human. Phoebe bonds with the Seer, and the Seer shares with Phoebe her vision of the future as planned by the Avatars. Phoebe realizes that the Avatars are good, and convinces Piper, but Paige, who has just spent the night with Kyle for the first time, does not come around so easily. To stop the Seer from selling them out, the demons release Zankou, the most powerful demon of the underworld who was imprisoned by the Source. Zankou manages to trick the Charmed Ones and kill the Seer. Leo admits that he's an Avatar now that the sisters are more open to the idea. The Charmed Ones realize that Kyle has trapped Inspector Sheridan in an insane asylum in an induced coma to get rid of her. Paige isn't phased by this, since Kyle already admitted that he's had to do some things he isn't proud of in his fight against the Avatars. More...
Still not completely sure that the Avatars mean well, Piper agrees to switch powers with Phoebe so that she too can see Phoebe's premonition of a utopian world. During the spell, Zankou senses the girls' vulnerability and attacks them, accidentally transferring their powers to innocent bystanders, who run amok with their new abilities. Phoebe has to share her Avatar-future vision in order to convince the newly powerful innocents to give back their powers. Kyle still want to kill Leo, because he knows Leo is an Avatar, but when he tries and fails, he loses his Avatar-killing potion in the process. Phoebe suggests that Paige take Kyle into the past so that he can see how his parents really died, because Leo insists that the Avatars didn't kill them. In the past, Kyle sees how demons actually killed his parents to get the Avatar-killing potions that his parents accidentally acquired. Even though he now realizes that Avatars didn't kill his parents, he brings back to the present another Avatar-killing potion. Zankou decides to rat out Leo as an Avatar to the Elders. The Elders confront Leo and try to destroy him, but are amazed when they find they are unable to. All three sisters decide that they are going to support the Avatars and their vision of a peaceful future.
Kyle asks the Elders for help with getting rid of the Avatars, but is answered by Zankou instead. While Kyle insists that he won't hurt the sister, Zankou vanquishes the demons that killed Kyle's parents, making Kyle indebted to him. In the meantime, the Charmed Ones are preparing for Utopia by killing off as many demons as possible. The Avatars tell them that they will put everyone to sleep while they change the world, but the Charmed Ones will stay awake a little longer to get rid of the last few demons on earth. Kyle agrees to help Zankou administer a potion that will make the Charmed Ones paranoid, just so that Zankou can stop the Avatars. As the rest of the world goes to sleep, the paranoid Charmed Ones kill off the last few demons, but now find themselves doubting the Avatars as well. Kyle cures the sisters' paranoia and then tries to kill Avatar Beta with his Avatar-killing potion. Beta throws lightening at Kyle, but not before he throws the potion, killing her. Alpha, Gamma and Leo summon all their strength to finish the creation of Utopia. Paige falls asleep on her dead boyfriend's shoulder, and sisters fall asleep where they stand as well. Suddenly, everyone wakes up, and everyone is happy, including The Charmed Ones (even in spite of a dead boyfriend). Leo wonders if they all made the right decision.
Leo realizes that Utopia isn't all it's cracked up to be when he catches the Avatars simply getting rid of anyone in the world that causes conflict. The Charmed Ones are happily oblivious, so Leo finds himself teaming up with Zankou to put the world back to normal. The sisters throw a party, trying to get their social lives back now that they no longer have to worry about demons. Leo and Zankou plan a big demon attack at the party, and Leo arranges for himself to be killed in the fight, telling Phoebe not to forget what loss feels like. Phoebe thinks back on all the loss that she and her sisters have experienced, and realizes that the way Paige is grieving about Kyle, and particularly the way Piper is grieving about Leo, is really wrong. She gets her sisters to realize that they're not feeling sadness, anger and grief the way that they're supposed to. The Charmed Ones team up with Zankou and confront the Avatars. The Avatars regret that the world is not ready for their Utopia yet, and turn back time, reversing the Utopia and bringing Leo back to life... but not Kyle. Later, Paige finds out that Kyle is now a Whitelighter.
The Charmed Ones are all out of sorts and uneasy about trusting their instincts after the disaster with the Avatars. Leo is warned to keep his nose out of magical business by the Elders. Inspector Sheridan is back working with Darryl, and while she doesn't remember anything about the Charmed Ones, Darryl is worried about what could trigger her memory. Paige is approached by a charming former demon named Drake who is reformed and wants to teach literature at the Magic School. The evil Sorcerer who made Drake human is trying to tempt him into using his demon powers so that he can steal them, and in the process accidentally turns Drake into Robin Hood. As Robin Hood, Drake tries to get a money-grubbing telephone company executive to give back all the money he stole from the masses, and the Sorcerer casts a spell to make the situation end in disaster. Drake goes to purgatory, and the Sorcerer gets Drake's powers, but the Charmed Ones craftily vanquish the Sorcerer, bringing Drake back. Paige, having re-learned to trust her instincts, hires Drake as a teacher at Magic School. Drake admits to Phoebe that he only has two weeks left to live as a human.
When one of Darryl's friends is possessed by the spirit of a man who died in a terrible nightclub fire in 1890, Phoebe and Drake send their spirits back in time and free all the innocent trapped souls. Paige, after pretending to be Phoebe for an interview, realizes she needs to get out of the Magic School and back into the real work a little bit. Piper plans a whirlwind family vacation to take Leo's mind off the Elders, while Leo tries to write down some Whitelighter tips in the Book of Shadows in case he isn't around to teach his children.
The Elders decide that Leo's fate must be decided once and for all, so they strip him of his powers and his memories and dump him in Texas to find out if he finds his way back to Piper or back to the greater good. In the meantime, Piper, suffering from a demon thorn wound, is in a coma, and meets up with Cole in the cosmic void between life and death. As Paige and Phoebe try to track down Leo in real life and Drake helps out by searching the Book of Shadows, Cole convinces Piper to let go and really die to send out a beacon of love that Leo can follow back to her. Cole tells Piper that he needs her love to succeed so that Phoebe will believe in love again and not suffer the same fate as he, to live forever without love. Odin, the Elder, convinces an amnesiac Leo to join up with him to help people, but when Leo feels the tug of Piper dying, he falls from grace on purpose to be brought back to her. Drake learns from Leo's entry in the Book of Shadows that Wyatt will inherit his father's healing powers, and so gets Wyatt to heal his mother. Leo turns up just in time to heal Piper's soul, and they live happily ever after... although Leo is now mortal and has no powers at all. Phoebe bids farewell to Drake just before he is supposed to die at midnight, and thanks him for helping her find love again. Drake leaves her so that she doesn't have to watch him die. Cole meets up with Drake and thanks Drake for a job well done. Drake thanks Cole back for setting him up with the sorcerer and helping him have the wonderful experience of being human. Drake admits that he didn't just help Phoebe, he fell in love with her. Cole admits that that was to be expected. Drake dies and his spirit disappears above.
Zankou sends demons after the now powerless Leo to distract the Charmed Ones so that he can go after the Nexus and release the Shadow, the ultimate power. To protect his parents, Wyatt miniaturizes them and puts them in a dollhouse replica of the manor. Paige and Phoebe are distracted trying to find Piper and Leo, and Zankou is able to take over the manor, but when he tries to release the Shadow he realizes that there must still be good in the house, because his demons are killed. Tiny Piper and Leo sneak out and use the Book of Shadows to get Paige and Phoebe's attention, but they are captured by Zankou. Zankou is about to kill Paige and Phoebe, when the two witches remind him that he needs the Power of Three to release the Shadow. Piper is horrified, saying she won't help Zankou, but Leo whispers to her to trust him and do what Zankou wants. Zankou makes Piper big again so that he can use the Power of Three, but keeps Leo small and in a box as insurance. The Charmed Ones release the Shadow, but with both evil and good present, it doesn't know where to go, so it goes to Leo, who is neutral. Leo uses the Shadow to get rid of the demons, but unfortunately, Zankou lives to fight another day. The Charmed Ones send the Shadow back into the Nexus. Elise leaves Phoebe in charge of the newspaper for a day, and Phoebe gets a new appreciation for what it is that her boss does. With Paige bored at magic school, and Leo feeling useless, Phoebe and Piper recommend that Leo take over the magic school, and both Paige and Leo enthusiastically agree.
A beautiful shapeshifting demon, Katya, kills the Guardian of Pandora's Box and tricks the Charmed Ones into helping her track down the new and inexperienced Guardian so that she can steal the Box. She then kidnaps the Guardian herself, a college student named Hope, to open the Box for her, releasing the sorrows within upon mankind. The Charmed Ones rescue Hope, and give her enough confidence in her own newfound powers to get all the sorrows back into the Box. Paige is experiencing a ringing in her ears, and is convinced by the friendly elder, Sandra, to go on her first whitelighter mission, in which she helps a number of people in a stuck elevator. Leo and Piper duke it out with their son Wyatt, who is going through the magical terrible-twos.
Paige has a difficult time with her first charge as a Whitelighter, Mitchell, who wants to deny his powers and his ability to help people. Luckily, she finally gets through to him by appealing to him as a human being rather than a magical being. An evil sorceress named Imara switches souls with Phoebe and uses her newfound place in the Charmed Ones to go after Zankou's strongest followers. Piper and Paige are tricked into vanquishing Imara's body with Phoebe's soul in it. However, along with superspeedy Mitchell, they manage to reverse the spell and bring Phoebe's soul back from the spirit world to inhabit her own body. After a lawsuit at Phoebe's paper, her workplace becomes a liability nightmare, and her column is subjected to a review by a credentialed psychologist. After Imara, in Phoebe's body, handily gets rid of the psychologist, Phoebe decides that perhaps it's time for her to go back to school and get her own psychology degree. Inspector Sheridan, even with her erased memory, is back on the case of the Halliwells after a demon attacks at P3 and Imara, in Phoebe's body, goes around vanquishing high-level demons that are also high-profile humans.
The adults are concerned when Wyatt spends most of his time at his new normal preschool talking to an imaginary friend, and talks less and less at home. Piper casts a spell so that she can better communicate with her eldest son, and ends up summoning a 25-year-old Wyatt from the future. Future Wyatt tries to help his parents communicate with his 2-year-old self, and sees a demon talking to his younger counterpart. The Charmed Ones realize that a demon, Vicus, who preys upon young good witches, turning them to evil, has set his sights on Wyatt. Vicus succeeds in gaining Wyatt's trust, and curses the little boy's teddy bear. The Charmed Ones watch in horror as adult Wyatt turns evil before their very eyes and follows Vicus to the underworld. Piper and Leo try to cast spells to uncurse the teddy bear, while Paige and Phoebe go to the underworld and vanquish Vicus. Wyatt still remains evil. Finally, a powerless Leo realizes that he's not powerless... he's still Wyatt's father. He manages to convince the older evil Wyatt not to kill him while he convinces the younger Wyatt to willingly give up his teddy bear... thereby uncursing it. Wyatt becomes good again, and thanks his father for having faith in him. The Charmed Ones bid a fond farewell to their powerful progeny and send him back to the future, but before he leaves he tells Phoebe that he will have a younger cousin someday. Phoebe is back in school for psychology, and talks to her professor about imaginary friends in childhood development. Phoebe is shocked when her professor accuses her of simply taking classes to get new material for her column, but after the prof reads Phoebe's paper on imaginary friends, she gives Phoebe credit for taking the class seriously and not being a fraud. Paige struggles with being a Charmed One and having a Whitelighter charge in New Zealand at the same time.
Zankou decides to weaken the sisters' will by killing people close to them, and then re-animating the victims' corpses with the help of an Alchemist so that he can bring the undead back to the torture the sister. Phoebe watches a demon kill a cute guy in her psych class that asked her out, and is then haunted by his undead form blaming her for his death. Paige has a new charge, Joanna, who is killed by her violent boyfriend (who was actually Zankou in disguise). Zankou and the Alchemist bring back the body of Inspector Reece Davidson, who died four years ago. When the sisters finally figure out what's going on, they track down the Alchemist, and they have to make the difficult decision to vanquish the bodies of all these innocents that they feel responsible for. This weakens them just enough for Zankou to get his hands on the Book of Shadows. In the meantime, Inspector Sheridan continues to research the sisters, and realizes Darryl is somehow protecting them. She tells Darryl that he should tell her what's going on, and when he refuses, she tells Darryl's wife, Sheila, how he is endangering himself and his job. Sheila tells Darryl to choose between her and the sisters, and he decides to take a vacation to spend some time with his family. Piper and Leo sadly cancel Chris's first birthday party while dealing with Zankou's latest attack.
With the Book of Shadows, Zankou goes after the Nexus again. Re-grouping at Magic School, the sisters manage to cast a spell that takes the Nexus out of Zankou once he gets it. The sisters draw Zankou's focus away from the Nexus and onto themselves. Inspector Sheridan teams up with Agent Keyes from Homeland Security, who knows that the Halliwells are into "the paranormal" and wants to expose them. Leo warns Darryl that no one should go near the manor, because something big is going down and it's dangerous. Zankou manages to get both Phoebe and Piper's powers, so the sisters decide that if they're going down, they're going to take Zankou with them. The sisters visit Piper and Phoebe's father, and leave him with Wyatt, Chris, the sisters' final paperwork. Sheridan goes into the manor with a hidden camera, but is killed by Zankou. Homeland Security descends onto the manor, but Morris warns them that it's not safe to go in. The sisters trick Zankou into going after them in Magic School, but they're really just astral projecting, and while he's distracted they get back the Book of Shadows. Zankou makes one last try for the Nexus, but the sisters use a spell from the book to destroy the Nexus, which therefore destroys Zankou. After the huge explosion, Darryl goes into the manor with Agent Keyes and is horrified to find out that the Halliwells must have died. Leo tries to get to the manor, but with no ID he can't get through the police barricade. Three beautiful young women come up to Leo and introduce themselves. It turns out it's the Charmed Ones, living in new bodies. The sisters, along with Leo, take this opportunity to start new lives, without demon fighting. Darryl spots the happy family walking away and happily realizes the sisters are safe.
